2025.04東洋大学の下重博士らと共同研究で、新奇淡水性磁性球菌 Ca. Magnetaquiglobus chichijimensis FCR-1の分離・培養に成功し、Communications Biology誌に研究成果を共著者として発表しました。FCR-1 株は、鎖状でないマグネトソームをもつ磁性細菌として初めて単離された磁性細菌です。 In collaborative research with Dr. Shimoshige's group at Toyo University (Japan), we successfully isolated and cultured a novel freshwater magnetotactic bacterium, Ca. Magnetaquiglobus chichijimensis FCR-1, and published our findings in Communications Biology. FCR-1 is the first isolated magnetotactic bacterium that possesses non-chained magnetosomes.
